Two-layer “ultra-water-repellent” glass-like coating

This is a two-layer premium coating that applies an “ultra-hard glass-based primer coat” as a base layer, which has high barrier properties due to its powerful cross-linking, and a “highly reactive siloxane-based top coat” as a top layer, which exhibits cutting-edge water-repellent properties.

Stain-resistant performance that keeps dirt away for a long time

ANTI-POLLUTION

Hi-MOHS COAT The Edge combines strong barrier properties with excellent slip resistance to provide powerful stain resistance.
It repels dust and dirt, and even if it does get dirty, it prevents it from sticking, and the dirt can be removed simply by washing with water.

WASHING RESISTANCE

It exhibits high durability, even when washed with alkaline detergent, which is one of the harshest conditions for a coating film.

Washing Durability Test

A car wash sponge was placed in a washing test machine and washed a specified number of times with alkaline detergent. Even after 3,000 washes, Hi-MOHS COAT The Edge maintained a high contact angle similar to that of conventional products, and a low sliding angle that surpassed that of conventional products, with no significant changes observed, maintaining stable water repellency.

Excellent weather resistance that can withstand harsh weather conditions

WEATHER RESISTANCE

It is resistant to temperature and humidity changes, maintaining its coating performance even at high temperatures and humidity. The water-repellent and stain-resistant effects are sustained, and dirt can be easily removed by simply rinsing with water.

 

 

Xenon arc lamp accelerated weathering test (JIS-K2396)

Outdoor conditions such as sunlight, humidity, and rain were artificially reproduced, and changes in contact angle and gloss retention were compared. Hi-MOHS COAT The Edge maintained a stable contact angle and gloss retention from the start of the test, even after 1800 hours (equivalent to one year), demonstrating its extremely high weather resistance.
